问：《魔术工具》的适读年龄层是什么？

答：4个月以上的儿童就可以利用《魔术工具》来玩和学习啦！因为只要孩子会翻页，他/她就可以通过看彩色的插画，听高伦先生和鞠萍姐姐的讲述收获乐趣。父母也可以录下自己的声音放给孩子听，当孩子翻动书页的时候就好像是父母在给他们读故事一样！这样可以增强儿童对父母声音的认识，让他们永远珍惜这样的一本书！

Q:  What is the appropriate age range for Magical Tools?

A:  Children as young as 4 months old are enjoying playing with and learning with Magical Tools. This is because if a child can turn the pages, he or she can get great enjoyment looking at the hand drawn illustrations, listening to Lorenzo’s and Big Sister Juping’s narrations. It is even possible for a parent to record their own voice and have that play when then their child turns the pages. It will be just like you are reading the story to your child. This will increase the child’s bond with the parent’s voice, and treasure the book forever.”

The book is currently being used in language schools for students of all ages, including junior high, high school, college, and adults. Because the book has colored hand drawn illustrations, it makes it much “friendlier” than a typical language textbook and even adults who are studying language for their own enjoyment and to broaden their horizons find it more accessible. Everyone in the family will enjoy learning English using Magical Tools.

Q:  How many new vocabulary words and phrases will my child learn in Magical Tools and are they the words they most need to know for exams later on in school?

A:  There are a total of 849 words in MT and about 400 of those are new vocabulary words. They are all very commonly used words and phrases in English. However, the biggest benefit from using Magical Tools is from learning to speak and understand standard American English. The pronunciation as well as the rhythm of a language is just as important as the pronunciation of each individual word, when learning to speak a foreign language fluently. JuPing’s Mandarin pronunciation is perfect for young children learning standard Putonghua, and Lorenzo’s pronunciation and rhythm and annunciation is perfect for learning standard American English!

Learning to SPEAK a foreign language is NOT done through memorizing vocabulary words! It is NOT a left brain activity. It is a right brain activity and as such MUST be approached differently than learning to read and write a language. This is why Magical Tools is such a great tool!

Q:  Can Magical Tools be used as a textbook in my English class? Do you have teaching materials to help the teacher use the “Hyland Method!”

A:  Yes, Magical Tools can be used as a textbook in your English class. Actually, the book is currently being used as the main text book at an English School in Zhongshan. Their 12 class semester is based on this book. The children get non-stop practice reciting the book and achieving perfect pronunciation. When they return home, if they are not sure of the pronunciation or the rhythm of a word or phrase, they can easily refer to Magical Tools and listen and repeat as many times as they feel necessary.

They will be well prepared for the next class.

The teaching materials will help the teacher present the student with the same sentence structures replacing the different parts of speech, so the student has flexibility in their word usage!

Q:  Since Magical Tools is in 22 different languages, Is it possible for Chinese children to use Magical Tools to learn languages other than English.

A:  Yes, we are currently developing language learning materials so Chinese students can directly learn other languages. We will have Chinese/French books, Chinese/German, Chinese/Portuguese, Chinese/Russian, Chinese/Japanese, Chinese/Vietnamese versions among others. That way Chinese students will NOT need to first learn English and then use English to learn the third language. Much easier! Much faster! Much more fun!

Q:  Why is there a plastic case included with the book

A:  The book is designed to be used as a story book AND as an English teacher. Using Fun and Easy English, it is important to listen and repeat, listen and repeat, listen and repeat! This can be done at home, while on the bus, riding in the car, walking along the street, while shopping. The book has an earphone jack so the student can listen with an earphone and repeat softly without bothering other people. The book can be kept in the plastic cover while traveling so it will not turn on accidentally and waste the battery. There is a hole in the plastic cover right over the earphone jack, so it can be used while in the cover!

Q:  How long will the Alkaline batteries last?

A:  New high quality Alkaline batteries can power the book for about 25 hours before needing to be changed.

Q:  Are there other books in the Magical Tools series?

A:  This is the only book at this time. There are other books being planned. When you buy this book, you will be notified when new books are available.

Q:  Is this book available anywhere else other than this internet website?

A:  If you are located in Zhongshan, Guangdong, you can buy the book at UWOW International English School. These are the ONLY two places the book can be purchased. The price at the school is the same as on the internet. The school has copies because they give the book FREE of charge to ALL new students and use it as the student textbook for the first semester. Mr. Hyland trains the teachers and personally teaches a few of the classes each semester at UWOW. You are welcome to come by and see the book and your child can have a free class.

Q:  What if the book is defective or breaks after I buy it?

A:  The book is warrantied to be free from manufacturing defects and can be returned for a new replacement, within 90 days from purchase if it is determined to be a manufacturing defect. Please read and follow the instructions in the back of the book and replace the batteries when necessary! If the book is determined to be defective, we will send you a new book free of charge, including shipping.

Q:  What do you do with the books which have been retuned as defective?
